A Brief History
The American University women's Ultimate Frisbee team, affectionately known as the Dirty Ladies, have been in existence since the early 2000s. After playing in a few co-ed situations with our men's team, Stall 11, by 2002 enough ladies generated interest to form the Dirty Ladies. Since then, we have developed into a consistent and well-represented club sport at American University.
We once got published in the Ultimate Player's Association (now, USA Ultimate) newsletter.
We practice around 3-4 times per week and place an importance on weekly conditioning workouts and quad tossing. Former Dirty Ladies have gone on to play for national level teams. We thrive in competitive and spirited environments, attending between 3-5 tournaments per semester throughout the mid-Atlantic region. We travel together, socialize together, and some of us even live together. We love playing Frisbee and Frisbee loves us!
